Electrical Engineering Power System Analysis toolchains have generally been installed on local workstations or private servers. The industry is rapidly moving towards cloud platforms to exploit elastic computing, simplify collaboration, and integrate real‑time data.
The transition to cloud‑based electrical engineering software solutions is no longer a future vision but an active research frontier. Current studies demonstrate compelling benefits in scalability, collaboration, and data‑driven asset management, while uncovering significant challenges in latency, security, and standardisation.
To enable this functionality will require cross‑disciplinary work that blends power system engineering, cloud infrastructure and cybersecurity to create a resilient, efficient, and commercially viable cloud‑enabled electrical engineering ecosystem.
Whilst continuing development on PowaMaster, ReticMaster and PowerOffice, we will also be focusing on Research into Cloud Based Electrical Engineering Software Solutions.
