Background
#


PowaMaster is a Power System Analysis application which runs on the Microsoft Windows operating system. It caters for the modelling of balanced, meshed power system networks by representing the electrical network and equipment in an intuitive user-friendly and efficient manner.

PowaMaster is ideally suited for transmission and distribution networks, substation design and building services applications.

PowaMaster is an integrated system with all features included in all editions. There are no hidden surprises with extra modules to be purchased. All the features, such as Short Circuit (Fault Level) Calculations, Harmonic Analysis, Time Series Analysis and Protection (IDMT) Coordination work together as a coherent unit, allowing the user to perform many studies without leaving the main Graphical User Interface (GUI).

The range of functions and elements available in PowaMaster allow you to model complex networks and simulate a wide range of operating conditions.

  • 🟣 PowaMaster Basic (500 busbar limitation),
  • 🟣 PowaMaster Lite (100 busbar limitation)

PowaMaster is an OLE/COM Automation Server, exposing some of the PowaMaster functionality to applications acting as OLE/COM Automation Controllers.

Any OLE/COM enabled application can link to PowaMaster to build networks on the fly and retrieve the results.

This gives the user the ability to develop any custom functionality and use any other programming interface to link to PowaMaster, such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS, Excel, C++, Visual Basic, Python, etc.
