Bulk Server License Setup

Registering PowaMaster
#

Note: If a server-based licensing model is selected, the client must not be licensed on the server itself
  1. Open PowaMaster.
  2. Select “I Agree” in the “PowaMaster DEMO” Window.
  3. From PowaMaster’s Main Menu, select “Help -> Registration”.
  4. In the “PowaMaster Registration” form, select the radio button next to Server Bulk License.
  5. If a valid connection to the License Server cannot be established automatically, an error will occur and a “PowaMaster Login” screen will appear.
  6. Complete the Login details as follows:
  • Supply the “User Name” and “Password” for login to the server.
  • “Server” must be set to the “Server Name / IP Address” of the computer on which the License Database is installed.
  • Set “Port” according to the Database Server configuration (e.g., “1501”, “21501”, etc.)
  • Set “Database” according to the Database configuration (e.g., “iipower”)
  1. Select the “Test” button to verify that the Server can be connected to:
  • Green – Indicates that the Database can be connected to “successfully”.
  • Red – Indicates that the Database cannot be connected to. Ensure that the Login details are correct and the firewall is setup correctly.
  1. Click “OK” to connect to the Database and Log In.

If PowaMaster has ALREADY been UNLOCKED on the License Server, configuration is complete and you can stop here. Continue the process if PowaMaster still needs to be unlocked.

For First User Registration Only:

  1. Select the “Allow Bulk Unlock” check box. (Note: Only a PowerOffice Administrative user is allowed to unlock a Server Bulk License).
  2. An “Admin Login” window will appear.
  3. Set “User Name” to “admin” or to the Administrative PO User.
  4. Provide a “Password” [Case Sensitive] and select “OK”.
  5. If the Administrative User Password has not been set before, a confirmation window will appear where you can set the new password. “Confirm” the Password [Case Sensitive] in the “Password Confirmation” Window.
  6. Copy the “Serial Number” and send it to [email protected] with the following details:
  • Name of Requester.
  • Company Details.
  • Server Name.
  • Serial Number (Copy and paste as text).
  • Quantity of licenses to be allocated.
  • Edition of PowaMaster to unlock:
    • LITE edition – Up to 100 Nodes
    • BASIC edition – Up to 500 Nodes
    • PLUS edition – More than 500 Nodes
  1. When the “Unlock Code” is received, click on “Unlock”.
  2. Paste the “Unlock Code” into the space provided.
  3. Select “OK”.
  4. PowaMaster is now ready for use.
