PowaMaster is an OLE/COM Automation Server, exposing some of the PowaMaster functionality to applications acting as OLE/COM Automation Controllers.

Any environment capable of Automation will be able to utilise the "PowaMaster.App" object to establish a connection and start using the published methods.

This gives the user the ability to use any other programming interface to link to PowaMaster, such as AutoCAD, Microstation, GIS, Excel, C++, Visual Basic, Python, etc.

Example:

The "PM_GetSet" spreadsheet is an excellent example of how to manage your Electrical Network in a spreadsheet format and then apply quick changes and data updates to PowaMaster.

•Open the spreadsheet PM_GetSet.xlsm that is installed in the PowaMaster installation directory.

•Click the Link Button

•Click the Show/Hide button to view or remove PowaMaster to verify that the link between PowaMaster and Excel has been established.

•Show PowaMaster and Open a study in PowaMaster.

•Add a Load if one does not exist

•Click the Loads Button in the worksheet.

•Click Get Load.

•Change all parameters except the name.

•Use the New Name field if the name is to be changed.

•Click the Set Load Button

•Edit the Load in PowaMaster and note that it has been updated according to the spreadsheet.

Note: If the link between PowaMaster and the Calling application isn’t closed first, the User will be prompted that PowaMaster is linked to another application. Force the close if required else first close the another application.
