Data Library Voltage Conductor Transformer Protection Motor Induction Motor

Section

When PowaMaster is first started, certain base data is loaded automatically. This data defines the various network components that can be used to build up network models. Note should be taken that voltages cannot be used unless it is defined in the data dictionary.

The Data Library (*.ii) file that PowaMaster uses is defined in the Options\General Tabsheet. The installation of PowaMaster creates a default Data Library file (C:\Program Files\Inspired Azure\PowaMaster\Data Library.ii

Section

Editing or Import Data

The program allows the user to edit, delete or add data related to Voltages, Transformers, Conductors, Protection Devices and Motors. Select File/Import in the Main Menu.

The user can import data into the data dictionary using a data saved in a text file or Microsoft Excel format.

Note : Remember to Save the changes before closing down.

Section

Voltage:

To define a new Voltage, click on the New button. Enter a Numerical Value for the voltage and select the Voltage unit, V or kV. Select a colour to represent this voltage and press the Add button.

To remove a voltage, select the voltage and press the Delete button.

Use the Move Up or Move Down buttons to arrange the list of Voltages according to user preference.

Section

Conductor:

To add a new Conductor, click on the New button. Enter a description. Enter all required information for the specific conductor and press the Add button.

To change any of the information (See Conductor Details) on the conductor, select it from the list, change the information and press the Update button.

To remove a conductor from the list, select it and press the Delete button.

Use the Move Up or Move Down buttons to arrange the list of Conductors according to user preference.

Section

Transformer:

To add a new Transformer, click on the New button. Enter a Numerical Value for the Rating and select the Rating unit, kVA or MVA. Select the Primary and Secondary Voltages. Enter all the specifications, the tap change information, as well as the earthing information for the specific transformer.  Press the Add button.

To change any of the information or specifications (See Transformer Details) of a transformer, select the transformer from the list, change the information or specifications and press the Update button.

To remove a transformer from the list, select it and press the Delete button.

Use the Move Up or Move Down buttons to arrange the list of Transformers according to user preference.

Section

Protection Devices:

To add a new Protection Device, click on the New button. Enter the description of the protection device. Select the curve type of the device as either a standard curve or a user-definable (e.g. fuses) curve. Provide the C.T. ratio and the settings.  Press the Add button.

To change any of the information or specifications (See Protection Details ) of a protection device , select the protection device from the list, change the information or specifications and press the Update button.

Use the Move Up or Move Down buttons to arrange the list of Protection Devices according to user preference.

Section

Motors:

To add a new Motor, click on the New button. Enter the appropriate data for a Simple Motor.

Press the Add button.

To change any of the information or specifications (See Motor Details) of a Motor, select the Motor from the list, change the information or specifications and press the Update button.

To remove a Motor from the list, select it and press the Delete button.

Section

Induction Motors:

To add a new Induction Motor, click on the New button. Enter the appropriate data for an Induction Motor.

Press the Add button.

To change any of the information or specifications (See Induction Motor Details) of an Induction Motor, select the Induction Motor from the list, change the information or specifications and press the Update button.

To remove an Induction Motor from the list, select it and press the Delete button.
